Geneva Education Association Announces Recommendations for School Board
The Geneva Education Association (GEA) is proud to recommend Robert “Larry” Cabeen, Katherine Frye, and Alicia Saxton for Geneva School Board in the upcoming April 2nd Election.
The GEA would like to thank all the candidates who participated in our interviews.
The GEA believes these three individuals provide a voice that will work to strengthen education in Geneva 304, while being mindful of fiscal responsibility. These candidates best articulated an understanding of the current climate in Geneva regarding the needs of its students and schools. They also demonstrated a commitment to working to repair collaboration and communication in the district. The GEA supports Cabeen, Frye, and Saxton for the three open seats in this election cycle.

The Geneva Education Association is now accepting applications for the Beth Shannon Memorial Scholarship
The GEA is proud to award a $2,500 renewable scholarship in Beth's honor. This scholarship will be awarded to one Geneva High School senior who intends to pursue a degree in the field of education. Our hope is that this scholarship will aide a Geneva student in becoming an educator who embodies Beth's treatment of all students: with a smile, patience, encouragement, and guidance.
This scholarship is renewable up to a total aggregate scholarship of $10, 000, pursuant to student meeting the re-application qualifications each year.
